TheSpecialSpot is a restaurant directory service. On this site, you can find restaurant details, view maps & directions, visit the restaurant's website, etc.

What makes us different?

Specials!

On top of all that, we let you search for restaurants based on the daily food and drink specials that restaurants are offering. Want to know which restaurants in your neighborhood have a lunch special? No problem. Craving fish for dinner? Got it. Looking for a happy hour spot to down a cheap and frosty beverage? Look no more.

If you can't find special information for your favorite spots, let the owners know about this site and we'll get them set up. During beta, you can also email specials to addspecials@TheSpecialSpot.com

Easy to find restaurants!

We've also got some nice features that let you narrow down your restaurant choices by different categories. This way, you can find all the Thai restaurants in your neighborhood that have outside seating and specials on drunken noodles with beef.

We've also got an alphabetical directory and Restaurant Quick Search for all you folks that know exactly what you want.

If you see something we're missing in your area, please let us know and we'll get it added for you.

TheSpecialSpot is integrated with Facebook and Twitter  so you can use either one of those to stay updated on local specials.

Who we are

TheSpecialSpot was started by a couple of foodies in Richmond, VA who continually found themselves asking the age old question: What's for dinner? (which was inevitably followed by: 'I don't know' and 'you pick') We thought it would be great to have a site that helped to narrow down the search; allowing us to see details about what our favorite places are serving. From here the ball just kept rolling and eventually we created TheSpecialSpot.com

We want to provide a new way for you to make informed decisions on where you're going to have your next meal, and what specials are available to you.

Other things to note.

The site is still in beta form which means that there are still some kinks that we are still working out. If you find a problem, please be patient with us and let us know so we can fix it. Your opinion and experience here is extremely important to us and your feeback encouraged.
